Adjunct Professor in the Department of Education of PUC-Rioholds a Bachelor's degree and a Teaching degree in Social Sciences from UFRJ (the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro). He also holds a Master's degree in Education from UFRJ and a Doctoral degree in Education from PUC-Rio. He is a member of the Brazilian Society for the History of Education (SBHE) and of the National Association of Research and Graduate Studies on Education ANPEd. He participated in postdoctoral internships as a fellow in the National Postdoctoral Program/CAPES (The National Council for Professional Development in Higher Education). He works in the areas of Brazilian Education, History of Education, History of School Curriculum and Disciplines, History of the Teaching Profession and Teaching of Sociology. He coordinates the HISPROF - History of the Teaching Profession and School Disciplines - research group.
