Senior Researcher at CNPQ, Professor Emeritus at PUC-Rio. Doctor in Psychology, Master in Psychology and Education. She has an undergraduate degree in Psychology at PUC-Rio and a teacher’s degree at UERJ (the State University of Rio de Janeiro). She was the Pedagogical Coordinator of the Central Coordination of Remote Education (CCEAD) from its foundation until 2010. She is the Pedagogical Coordinator of the LIDE research group at the Department of Arts & Design at PUC-Rio, since 2012. She develops research on the theme of Youth and Knowledge in the Digital Age. For the past 20 years, she has had international partnerships with Universitàt del Sacro Cuore de MilanoFernando Vidal, at the time at the Max Planck Institute and Sara Paín from the University of the Sorbonne. Currently, she is affiliated to NORDICOM , a cooperation among five countries of the Nordic Region. She has a partnership with LIDE/PUC-Rio, UNESA (the Estácio de Sá University) and UFRJ (the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro). Under the auspices of UNICEF (the United Nations Children's Fund), she was part of the LIDE group that conceived and implemented the Pedagogical Plan for Early Childhood Education in the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe, Africa. She specifically implemented the Early Childhood Education Curriculum in this African Republic. She is the author of several national and international books and articles in the field.
