Adjunct Professor in the Department of Education at PUC-Rio. Coordinator of the research group Diversias - Diversity, Education and Controversy Study Group. Doctor in Human Sciences (Education) at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), having completed a one year stay at the Institute of Education da University College London (UCL IOE, United Kingdom) under the supervision of professor Ralph Levinson. He holds a Master's degree in Education (2012) from PUC-Rio and an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences (2009) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). He is a researcher at the REDISCO group: Religions, Discriminations en Milieu Scolaire (Université Lyon 2, França). He develops research in Education and the teaching of Biology, focusing on teaching controversial topics, science, religion, diversity and interculturality in school contexts. He was a professor of Biology and Science in Elementary and High School at the University School of UFRJ and in a private school.
