Teaching
The Education Department of PUC-Rio is a plural and democratic space for teaching and learning, aimed at training professionals with solid theoretical and practical knowledge, a contextualised perspective of educational processes and a strong commitment to human development.
Research
Pioneering spirit, tradition and national as well as international reach are hallmarks of the research conducted by the Department of Education at PUC-Rio. Our Graduate Program was the first in the field in this country, and it remains dedicated to training new researchers and conducting research in education, in its different dimensions, especially, public.
Extension
Extension and outreach activities of the Education Department of PUC-Rio seek to support the university's engagement with people, knowledge and institutions. Through specialization and extension courses, as well as work conducted at different centers, we carry out training and provide support to people and groups within the university walls and beyond.
